Abductors Of St Mary's Parish Priests Release Captives, Reveal Stupidity
UNDAUNTED reported a month ago o the burning of the St Mary's Catholic Parish in Nchang village, Mamfe and the abduction of 5 Priests, a Nun and two lay faithfuls. Their kidnapping was captured in a communique by Archbishop Andrew Nkea. A communique in which the clergy called on the abductors to release his collaborators. Another outing of the Archbishop later stated that the abductors were requesting from church offerings the sum of FCFA 30 Million for the release of the kidnapped. His Lordship vehemently stated that the church is not willing and will not drop any franc to kidnappers, and his collaborators be released.
After a failed attempt to squeeze money from the church, the abductors who identified themselves as the Ambazonian liberation fighters in Mamfe of which they were not, placed a new demand, that of exchanging their victims to the pseudo Ambazonian leaders held at the colonial Kondengui Maximum Security Prison in Yaounde. According to intelligence report they were not Ambazonian Restoration Forces, but paid gunmen to sabotage the Ambazonian Restoration Fight. The faithfuls arrogated a month ago have been released, thanks be to God, but under what conditions? The kidnappers said, until imprisoned Ambazonians at the Kondengui Maximum Security Prison in Yaounde are set free, the captives will not be liberated. So, why are the Christian faithfuls released even when Yaounde was mute?
Given that it has been investigated and certified that this group of bandits are not Ambazonian Restoration Forces, who are they, and why are usurping the name of the forces?
The Five priests, a Nun and two lay faithfuls, abducted by armed bandits from the St Mary's Catholic Parish Nchang in Memfe have been freed. In the video that preceeded that of them being freed, these unfortunate victims of a group of armed bandit were showering praises to their abductors for freeing them without any ransom taken for their liberation and for the favourable condition given them in captivity. The questions that UNDAUNTED has as rhetoricals are that, why would those abducted be forced to do a video uniquely to say no ransom was taken from them, why the justification on the part of the kidnappers and what the primary intention of kidnapping the priests and others in the first place?
A look at the hostages in the video shows torture, depression, and ill health, yet the spokesperson frail-looking in the video is rather thanking his kidnappers for keeping them under good conditions in captivity. What a desplay of stupidity and unprofessionalism on the part of these armed bandits, who are merely further exposing themselves as a group of impostors. Before the production of this video, the kidnappers had fast forgotten that a week ago, they released a video depicting misery on the part of the priests and other faithfuls under captivity. A video that Rev FR. Cornelius attested of the deplorable condition they were subjected to, as he begged on the church hierarchy to comply with the demands of the kidnappers for their release.
"So far it has not been easy. If you see our faces we are not happy. We are only begging my Lord that you should do everything possible for us to come out of here. It is a matter of do or die. As you can see, I have been very sick and my brothers are not feeling fine. So my Lord help let's leave this place. Listen to these boys and do what they want my Lord". These were the words of Father Cornelius crying for help.
Only a group which is not well constituted will do such video blunders repeatedly. The Ambazonia Liberation Fighters are well structured, well organized and with a clear road map for operations, which is fighting for the total liberation of Ambazonia. The released Priests and others were captured in a video depicting happiness as people could be seen singing, jubilating and thanking God for His faithfulness, all attesting to the fact that they have been released. Is it true that they have been released, whether was ransom paid or not, of which of course it must have paid given that the kidnappers were bandits with arms. The question now should be who is their next target? The people of Southern Cameroons Ambazonia needs to very vigilante.
UNDAUNTED has been tipped that LRC is crossing over to neighbouring Nigeria, hiring armed gunmen into Ambazonia, to molest, kidnap and kill the people of Southern Cameroons just to blackmail the Ambazonian Restoration Forces. These ill-intentioned individuals must be flush out of Ambazonian territory. The intelligence of the Ambazonian Restoration Fighters must be on the alert for these armed bandits to be brought to pay for their crimes against the people of Southern Cameroons Ambazonia.
One thing is certain, since the Ambazonian fight for the restoration of their Statehood is Devine ordained, no devilish plan of LRC or from who so ever against the people of Southern Cameroons and the Ambazonian Restoration Forces will prevail.
