PSS MANKON ON FIRE AGAIN
Accepting responsibility of an act committed, is a noble act worth applauding.
During the good old days, honesty was celebrated to a point whereby, an honest person will see the punishment being reduced. Nowadays that the corruption brought about the colonial regime of Paul Biya has eaten into the society, the reverse is true. In the case where am object is damaged, the person who owns up and accepts responsibility is at times forgiven for being honest and not punished. But when the perpetrator is discovered after failing to owned up, the punishment would be doubled. Not just because something was distroyed, but that dishonesty has been portrayed by the perpetrator. In a crisis hitt Southern Cameroons, acts committed are always an issue especially, when no group owns up to claim responsibility. What is it that can cause a person or group of people to commit an act and is not willing to claiming responsibility? It can only be so because, the perpetrators might be a public figure with a hidden agenda and don't want their names to be soiled.
This is percural to the La Republique du Cameroun inability to own up for the different attrocities LRC have carried out against the people of Southern Cameroons. This is where we begin the full briefings of Undaunted tonight. Tonight right after undaunted Bringings, we will be be having the SOS for Communication and IT Dr. Martin Mungwa. PSS Mankon suffers yet another arson barely days to the resumption of a new academic year. The boys dormitory of PSS Mankon has been burnt down in the night of August 21. 2am Monday 22nd August 2022, the campus of PSS Mankon is invaded by strange armed men who on arrival started shooting. Moving round the campus and finally setting the Form 5 Boys dormitory on fire. As the armed men left the campus, the school authorities hurriedly informed the colonial army rescue unit, who mobilized to save the building. Unfortunately, the roof and walls of the building had already given way. The army rescue unit prevented the fire from crossing-over to other dormitories.
No body or group of persons have claimed responsibility for this act, and this is the 3rd time the school has come under arson attack after it was previously attacked on the 22nd and 23rd of January 2021. The Moderator of the PCC is still to issue a statement on the incident while administrative authorities are carrying out an assessment of the damage done this far. PSS Mankon scored 100% in both the GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level during the just ended academic year. It should be recalled that, after the Ngarbuh massacre, the military never claimed responsibility of that attrocity, and were only proven guilty after an investigation was carried out. The Ngarbuh massacre took place in a village in the Savannah state of Southern Cameroons on 14 February 2020, and resulted in the murder of 21 civilians, including 13 children, by Cameroonian soldiers and armed Fulani militia.
Can this arson on PSS Mankon a replay of the Ngarbuh massacre incident? Let's wait an see
