IG's POSITION ON THE CANADA CONFERENCE
President's Position of the interim government Regarding the meeting convened in Canada.
As the War Continues In Southern Cameroons and Biya Rejecting Peace, & Calls For The End Of Swiss-Led Mediation, it’s Worrisome. Let's get a little throwback, September 14, 2022 – The chief envoy on the Swiss Led Mediation, Ret. Amb. Gunther Bachler informed the Ambazonia Coalition Team (ACT) that it is ending its efforts toward brokering peace in the nearly six (6) yearlong war in Southern Cameroons.
While AMBAZONIANs think it's absurd
It's obvious that LRC has boycotted the mediation process for their own interests. Even when The international community’s position is on Biya to engage in dialogue without pre-conditions to end the violence.
Despite earlier backing dialogue with armed groups, Biya now asserted in a phone conversation with the President of the Swiss Federation, Ignazio Cassis, that a military victory will do. And that the Swiss should instead support his 2019 Grand National Dialogue (GND) as the only pathway to peace.
One important factor for us to note here is that Mr. Biya has for nearly four (4) years used the Swiss peace initiative as a smokescreen to prepare, plan, and launch its invasion and continued acts of aggression toward the peaceful people of Southern Cameroons.
What is the news then about this Canada conference, why a Canada conference?
What do they want to achieve with a Canada conference.
This is where we begin the full briefings of Undaunted tonight.
According to Barr . Fru Jon Nsoh, he says The Canada conference is a damage control because LRC has realized that they have made a mistake. They realized that they have made a mistake in rejecting a Swiss led process but trying to cut corners, but the IG under Dr. Sako has said that it is not part of any conference.
Here is the position of the IG.
1). There must be an official commitment by both sides (FRA and LRC) to follow through with the talks after a mediator is mandated.
2).The elected mediator must make it officially known to all national and international state holders that they have taken up that role.
3). The agenda, date and venue of any talts must be mutually agreed to by both sides with the the help of the mediator.
4). The mediator convenes the meeting, not either of the two parties. He /She must be willing to guarantee the security all participants.
5. Any such talks must be between two delegates - one representing LRC and another Sourthern Camerons -AMBAZONIA.
Anyways, according to Dr. Sako, he has said When LRC will be ready for negotiation, they will meet the interim government in a mediated process, so we wait.
