HOW COLONIAL FRENCH CAMEROUN DID NOT WANT AMBAZONA TO EMERGE
The French Cameroun creed became “may they never have any good road linking them lest they will become wise”
It was deliberate for the cruel colonial LRC to allow a cosmopolitan city like Bamenda neither to be linked with a good road from Mamfe nor Bafoussam else the Bamenda man will be wiser. Here we are today, 45 years 7 months and 10 days i.e . 16.658 days since Former colonial dictator Amadou Ahidjo inaugurated the Babadjou – Bamenda road. In actual fact, Ahidjo inaugurated this stretch of road on February 15, 1977 and the road was to kick off on Thursday February 17, 1977. Work just started on Monday September 26, 2022, 16.658 days since inauguration. This stretch of road has been a nightmare to travellers leaving Ambazonia to LRC.
Today the failed, Yaounde junta blame every retarded projects in Ambazonia on a senseless war they themselves declared which is only 6 years old not 45 years. Dictator Biya’s reconstruction programme of war torn Ambazonia handed to slave boy Paul Tasong has been dead on arrival and the paradymn shift of a Yaounde failed system has been that “the boys” should lay down their arms. Why did Yaounde put the cart before the horse? And why is Yaounde running away from well planned negotiated settlement to end hostilities, part ways for meaningful development to follow naturally?
The Ring Road had been nightmarish 61 years and counting. Where were “the boys”?.
The Yaounde Junta kept the road deliberately else Ambazonians or their conquered slaves may become wiser. In April 198 dictator Biya himself on his first ever official visit after taking over power in November 1982 promised to supervise the Ring Road himself, today 40 years after where is Biya, and how far with the Ring Road? You cannot fool all the people all the time. Ambazonia has risen to fall prey no more. Total liberation, total independence remains the lone option. There are sad evidences how cruel colonial Ahidjo robbed Mamfe of tar put by the Germans promising better tar which never came till date.
