DIESEL FUEL CRISIS HITS AMBAZONIA
The hardship the people of Southern Cameroon keep suffering is increasing as days go by. Though some natural circumstances might increase the plight of a people, is not the case with Southern Cameroon. La Republique du Cameroun in a calculated move to destroy from the face of the sun the identity of Southern Cameroonians, have not only destroyed the educational system but have creamed economic activities.
The new approach by LRC is depriving the people of Ambazonia of diesel fuel. This liquid gold is now not available causing vehicle owners with diesel engine to station their vehicles and transporters frustrating. How will Transporters do to feed their families and other mouths that depend on them? Given that it is just barely a month left for schools to resume, how will they be able to send their children to school if it persists?
Car owners in Bamenda, chief town of the Midland Region of Ambazonia have been criss-crossing the town searching for gasoline as the number of those in need of the product outnumbers the quantity available. As early as 7:am, Saturday August 6,2022, a filling station a Veterinary Junction in Bamenda II County was chock-full of many who cued up just to acquire the liquid gold. Those who could not drive their cars to the gas station because the tanks have gone dry had to carry containers from one part of the town to the other just as they used to do in the dry season when the water crisis is always at it's apex. There were not in search of water but diesel fuel to feed the tanks of their vehicles in order to be able to circulate.
At the petrol station, a user of diesel fuel talked to UNDAUNTED with gallons to get fuel. "I have been here since 7:am after spotting a truck offloading fuel at this gasoline station. Gas oil hasn't been available at a realistic quantity since last week. I was forced to buy at FCFA 20.000 and FCFA 25000 from road vendors who got theirs from Mbouda. The place is crowded because it is only here that gas oil is available, he explained."The number of containers we dotted at the filling station also caused many to think that the owners were there to buy and retail at a higher price.A business man Pa Nji with a shop at the Ntarinkon Market in Bamenda II County opined that the short of diesel fuel will have chain effects to other sectors of the society
"With this shortage, work on construction sites will stop given trucks transporting sand use diesel fuel. And that is the case, therefore, building materials shops will experience reduction of sales. With no sand, cement and construction materials will no longer be needed", he added. The diesel fuel crisis is coming to add to the untold difficulties the people of Southern Cameroon - Ambazonia are going through as result of the ongoing war that is 5 years now and counting, declared by Paul Biya ruler of LRC against the Southern Cameroonians - Ambazonia and the COVID-19 pandemic.
At press time, there's no supply of the diesel fuel into the town of Bamenda
