Though Bamenda II is completely shot down, in Bamenda I and III, there are commercial motorbikes, few vehicles in circulation and some road sides shops opened. Transport agency busses and other cars entering the region from LRC are escorted by the colonial forces of law and Order. Prior to today, yesterday that Monday was the usual observed ghost town in Southern Cameroons. Instituted as a civil disobedience to the Yaounde regime.

Though Bamenda enters into a period of lock down now since the resumption of the 2022-2023 academic year, neighboring localities like Bafut LGA and Batibo LGA have been observing lock down now for more than a week. Before the resumption of the 2022-2023 school year, there was a call for a lock down for school boycott from some Amba fighters. While some localities respected this call, areas like Bamenda never respected. In an attempt to force the lock down through, vehicles and motorbikes were burnt in areas like Santa and Bafut.
