AMBAZONIAN REFUGEES CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS
Christmas outreach program
Meanwhile, despite the war and inconveniences the Department of women's services were able to put a Christmas outreach program together with the Refugees in AMBAZONIA. The event took place on Sunday 18th December 2022. The program kick started with SOS for women services Ma Patience giving the opening remarks , there after she gave a space and introduced the MCs who where MA Ma Emma Endeley and ma Winnie Lobati, they served as moderators as well.
It was on a Zoom platform and on ABC AMBA TV. The Celebration was for the refugees in Ground 1 and in the home front. It was a night of hymn and admonitions. Stories about Jesus and his birth as well as the reason for the season were told as well. Pastor Victor gave the opening prayer. There was time for admonition and charges from Pastors in the House.
On the other end, the Refugees were excited about the event and expressed their joy through Dance music and dance. Let's have a view of the fun as well. Thereafter, the SOS for women servics, gave a vote of thanks to everyone that participated in the Zoom Christmas program. She also appreciated everyone who donated towards our "Be an Angel Fund Drive", of which about $9000.was raised.
She also emphasized that the funds will be used to assist some of our refugees in Nigeria and Ghana, some IDPs, Prisoners of conscience, War Widows, and the Wounded. Some beneficiaries may receive support only after Christmas but before the New Year. She mentioned as well.
